POLICE DAILY REPORT: TEEN IN ICU AFTER DISTURBANCE; ARMED ROBBERY ATTEMPT IN PEMBROKE

Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances of a reported disturbance that apparently occurred along the Railway Trail in Warwick near Pearman’s Hill around 7.45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Details are limited at this time. However a 19-year-old Pembroke man believed to be involved in the disturbance was later admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit with a head injury.

At last check, he remained in ICU under observation.

In a seperate incident, around 3.00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, police received a report of an attempted robbery. It appears that around 8.30 p.m. on Monday, March 13, two men got out of a taxi in the Deepdale Road West, Pembroke area when they were accosted by two unknown males.

Apparently the suspects – described as slim, dark complexioned males approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall wearing hooded sweatshirts – brandished stun guns and demanded money before making good their escape on foot empty handed.

There were no reported injuries and inquiries continue.
