Around 8.56 this evening, police and EMTs responded to a report of a two vehicle collision between a car and a motorcycle which occurred on Middle Road near the junction with Chaingate Hill, Devonshire.
Details are limited at this this time however initial reports suggest that both vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when the collision occurred.
The male rider of the motorcycle was conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The male driver of the motorcar was not injured.
Police are currently processing the scene.

[UPDATED: August 7]: The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 22-year-old Omari Symonds, who tragically lost his life after being involved in a two vehicle collision, which took place on Middle Road, Devonshire near the junction with Chaingate Hill. Sadly, this marks the 9th road traffic fatality for 2017.
Initial reports suggest that Mr. Symonds was travelling in an easterly direction on his motorcycle, when he collided with a private motorcar headed in the opposite direction.
A family liaison officer has been assigned to the family and an investigation is now underway. Anyone who may have witnessed this collision or anyone who may have information regarding the movements of Omari Symonds prior to the collision should call PC Bianca Glasford on 247-1788.
